Plaswood is an award winning, long life environmental alternative to traditional materials. Used widely by many organisations in both the public and private sector, Plaswood’s versatility of design means it can be fabricated into signs, bollards, street name plates, barriers and access ramps.

Bollards

The increasing use of bollards in pedestrian precincts, traffic calming schemes and car parks, while desirable architecturally, can cause problems over cost, vandalism and maintenance. Plaswood bollards are the answer as they are elegant, classical and cost effective. Plaswood bollards also demonstrate that you can make the environmentally responsible choice without compromise.

Collapsible Traffic Bollards

The Plaswood collapsible bollard is a removable traffic bollard with two reflective red-white strips. The collapsible traffic bollard is fitted with a spring mechanism which will slightly bend in cases of parking collisions, thus reducing the possibility of damage to both the vehicle and bollard.

Hazard Markers

Plaswood hazard markers are a cost effective alternative to traditional markers. Hazard markers are easily installed using an anchor peg (supplied as an extra) and will give stability in the ground.

Delineators

Plaswood delineators are available in either white or black with two reflective plates. Plaswood delineators are easily installed and can simply be driven into the ground as they incorporate a moulded pointed end.

Snow Posts

Plaswood snow posts are manufactured using an 80mm diameter post and inserting deep recessed areas of white and red reflective banding. The Plaswood snow post gives ample indication of snow depth and carriageway edge.

Finger Signage Posts

Plaswood signs have attained a high level of credibility over a number of years and have proven to be the green alternative to timber, metal and concrete signs. Plaswood signs need little or no maintenance and have no scrap value, which are assets in themselves with the vandal problems experienced in many areas. The Plaswood finger posts are available in a number of colour options, e.g. black with white insert, black with yellow insert; the full range of colour options is available from the Plaswood sales office. In addition to the finger signs, we offer information boards, management posts, nature reserve signs, nature trail signs and roundabout sponsorship signs, all suitable for any outdoor environment.

Waymarker Signage Posts

Plaswood waymarker signs are an attractive alternative to traditional signage methods and provide an environmentally friendly choice compared to traditional methods. An integral part of any public place, Plaswood waymarker signs are designed to blend into any environment and provide a valuable function to any nature reserve.

Street Name Plates

Plaswood street name plates are proving highly popular and becoming an important feature of any well planned street, nature reserve and general public place, providing information or direction to those that need them.

Barriers

With access being high on the agenda for countryside officers and planners, Plaswood offers a range of access solutions including our cycle and horse barriers. The design successfully discourages the misuse of bridleways, whilst allowing easy access for horses and pedestrians. Reflective plates can be incorporated into the design to ensure good visibility at all times.

Access Ramps

Using Plaswood for walkways and access ramp construction has many advantages over its traditional timber alternative. It is cost effective, labour saving and particularly suited to harsh wet environments that they can be placed in. Plaswood does not require treating with preservatives and will not leach harmful chemicals into the earth or waterways. All these structures are available with or without handrails and can be designed to suit your particular requirements.
