bpi.recycled products plays part in trail blazing eco project

bpi.recycled products has made its own unique contribution to a trail blazing eco project. The British-based business - which currently ranks as the largest recycler of waste polythene in Europe with the ability to reprocesses over 70,000 tonnes of scrap a year through a nationwide network of Environment Agency sites - has just donated decking from its Plaswood range to the Groundwork Leicester & Leicestershire EcoHouse.

The Highland Council Plaswood Platform Case Study

The venue - North Kessock Meadow, an area of land managed for wildlife and which had a pond built a number of years ago using left over clay for work being carried out on the Caledonian Canal in Inverness. This consisted of a circular raised bund which was fed by a natural spring creating a 2 metre deep pool. Unfortunately the pond edge wasn’t even and vegetated over so that the edge was clearly making it unsafe to use with children without the possibility of someone falling in. (read more)
