St. Swithins Cottage & Plaswood - A marriage made from bin bags!!!
Tue 30 January 2007For me I wanted something to resemble oak (painted black in a Tudor cottage style), which was flexible (to deal with the unevenness exterior of my cottage) and which would last (I loathe to do something today which will require remedial work tomorrow).
Well
Plaswood
was and is the answer. It has completely transformed the look and feel of the cottage and NOBODY believes it is made of recycled bin bags even when they are inches away - they have to reach out and touch it to be convinced! By incorporating a waterproofer into the render and utilising
Plaswood
the exterior of my cottage is almost maintenance free and now to the left and right of the main entrance I have continued the theme of colour and structure; both from the point of view that the render is the same as the mortar in the red bricks and the
Plaswood
looks almost identical to the existing black oak beams.
Where my Cottage was once a mis-mash of exterior finishes and thus almost looking like three dwellings it now has a consistent form and structure with no small thanks to Plaswood.
